This isn't a complaint, rather, I wish both apps have these features. Sometimes I'm disappointed when I'm listening to music from either app because of some core differences between the two. After using Plexamp for a quite a while and reading some of the comments here, I'd like to add my own feedback.Īt home, I tend to listen to music using my desktop and I prefer to use Plexamp for Windows because the interface is great when you're simply listening to music but I see Plexamp as the 'Player' and my Windows Plex App (or ) as the main program for organising music. I recognise the difference between the two programs, Plex and Plexamp, the free vs pass options and I'm a PlexPass lifetime user. I'm more in tune with my local music as opposed to being 'fed' music by other commercial services. I switched from Spotify (and others) to Plex for music and by extension Plexamp around 6 months ago and I have to say, I so glad I made the switch. You can sign up for Plex Pass on the company’s website for $4.99 per month, $39.99 per year, or $119.99 for a lifetime subscription.I'm a long time user of Plex for movies and TV shows but it's only been since 2020+ I've embraced plex for music. Of note, you will need a Plex Pass subscription to use both Plexamp and Plex Dash, which are available on the App Store.
